Tom Binyon of BaggerWorks Custom Touring Motorcycles in Wichita, Kansas has announced he’ll reveal his charity bike, “The Dakota,” on Saturday, February 2, at 9:30 a.m. at the Duke Energy Center during the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio. If you are in that area, I really hope you will go and see Tom’s creation, which benefits the Children’s Home Society of the Black Hills Region as well as the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame.
“The Dakota” will be the featured auction item during the Kids & Chrome 2008 benefit dinner and auction on Wednesday, August 6, in Spearfish, South Dakota at the Spearfish Holiday Inn and Convention Center.

Love the blog! Yes I’m a guy reading your site. I keep hoping to get my wife
more interested in riding, and hoping this site helps her.
Just a mention about the v-twin expo: it is a dealer/manufacturer/press invite only,
not open to the public. Which really sucks! It would be awsome to be able to
see all the new stuff, but being joe public, we do not get this chance.

Mike, wow I had no idea that the Expo wasn’t open to the public. I understand the concept of industry-only trade shows, for sure, but I wonder what benefit BaggerWorks got from unveiling their benefit bike at a non-public show? Thanks for clueing me in, though, I had no idea! As for being a guy reading the site, hey EVERYONE is welcome and I’m glad you’re here! If your wife has *any* interest at all in riding her own, you might send her over to the Women Who Ride forum on DelphiForums - it’s an amazing resource of several hundred women riders of every skill level, from absolute beginner to seasoned tourers.
