(I am always so intent on shopping - LOL) I like the idea of following a single highway - we have a few here, like Old Hwy 6 and the Lincoln Highway, that are historic in their own right and I believe, go at least all the way across the state. Another idea is to pick a U. S. Highway (not the interstate) and ride it as far as it will go or as far as you can - like from one end to the other. Hubby and I rode Highway 2 from Everett, WA to Duluth MN one year and had considered continuing on east, but decided to head south and visit relatives in IL and KY instead. You mentioned J&P Cycles - we live in Alaska but we do a lot of ordering from them. Maybe we'll make it over there one of these days.
